Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcycle riding is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Despite the fact that motorcycles are safer today than they were just 20 years ago, unfortunately over 2,500 motorcyclists are killed each year, and another 50,000 are injured in traffic collisions. More than 80 percent of all motorcycle accidents result in injury or death. Deaths among motorcyclists age 40 and over have steadily increased during most of the 1990's and jumped dramatically from 1997 to 2000, the latest year for which statistics are available. Many of those accidents are not the fault of motorcyclists, but are instead the fault of inexperienced, inattentive, or drunk drivers.
Approximately three-fourths of all motorcycle accidents involve another motor vehicle. Two-thirds of these accidents are caused by the motorist failing to yield the right of way. The most common reason given by the motorist involved in these accidents is that they "didn't see" the motorcycle. These types of accidents account for approximately 50 percent of all motorcycle accidents. See motorcycle safety article.

Once your case has been accepted by an attorney, the attorney will take steps which will help prove liability (who is at fault) and maximize the money that you are owed.
If you have been injured in a motorcycle accident, you need to hire an attorney who knows the legal system, the insurance red tape, and the defendant's attorneys and tactics.
